A banquet hall was constructed from a complex of petty shops. The client wanted the space to be sumptuous in limited budget, so we decided to layer the hall with patterns and sophisticated mix of colours to give it a depth. The project is currently under construction and it will be open to the public by March. This space came along with a lot of disadvantages. One of the serious concerns was that the site did not have space to breathe as the complex beside and our site shared the same wall, which pushed us to provide ducts throughout. Few shopkeepers refused to leave so we were forced to work in instalments.
